Position Objectives:
|
|
Under the supervision of Principal Information Officer, designing and implementing of all project activities/image building drives and ensuring reporting in timely manner. Develop and enhance effective internal and external communication, co-ordinates and propose high quality content, ensuring a strong and regular presence of the Vulnerability to Resilience Project on traditional and online media platforms. Developing strategies, increase employee awareness and promote productivity

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities
|
- Under supervision of Principal Information Officer (PIO), increase the organization’s profile across media and other stake holders.
- Under supervision of PIO, proactively take initiatives in planning of communication activities and prepare budget for project related communication activities, devising solutions for financial issues, challenges and ensuring reporting of all activities in timely manner.
- Proactively produce all required IEC/Visibility material related to the project Vulnerability to Resilience
- Awareness/Dissemination Sessions in districts to promote and increase awareness among media and stakeholders about the organization’s initiatives and project
- Under supervision of PIO, ensure optimum coverage for the project activities/success stories on electronic, online and print media, drafting and issuing of press release to print media for events/project related activities.
- Under supervision of PIO, coordination with all concerned departments, and ensuring arrangements for PRCS events in efficient and timely manner, preparation and updating of guest lists, dispatch of invitation cards and follow up with invitees for confirmation, drafting of official letters.
- Contribute to major PRCS campaigns (such as 8th May, National/Int.Days etc.) and Image Building/Fundraising Drives.
- Enhance communications with colleagues and develop an understanding of the work and needs.
- Generate high quality content for PRCS’s centralized quarterly magazine, website and other social media network platforms (Facebook, twitter etc.) by collecting and generating high quality humanitarian stories/success stories of the project/ project implementation & beneficiaries.
- Contribute to the PRCS’s institutional planning and reporting as and when required.

Education
|
|
Masters/16 years education in Journalism/ Mass Communication or related field from HEC recognized institution/University.
|
|
Experience
|
- 3 years professional working experience in related field.
- Experience in Red Cross Red Crescent Movement/humanitarian/ rescue & relief organization will be an advantage
- PRCS Volunteers having required qualification, experience and skills will be preferred.

Skills/Knowledge
|
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Urdu and English
- Good command on MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong Media Relations (Electronic and Print media)
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Ability multitask quickly and effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
