Background
The purpose of the USAID | Global Health Supply Chain – Procurement and Supply Management Project (GHSC-PSM) is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities in support of U.S. government-funded public health initiatives around the world. The project will now engage for strengthening of supply chain functions around specific products that relate to basic health services (BHSs), and infectious diseases (IDs). The project will improve quality of services at district and subdistrict levels by bringing inventory management (IM) data visibility through the implementation of an inventory management for basic health products in the key priority districts. The activity will enhance transparency and accountability, storage practices, and a subsequent transition from a push to pull system within the districts.
Objective of the Consultancy
The objective of this consultancy is to provide support in developing an inventory management and feedback system smart mobile phone app, which can be use in both online and offline mode and synchronize data whenever internet is available.
Background Reading/ Interviews Related to Understanding the Work and its Context
The Consultant will review the current requirements and develop mockup screen and flow. On approval from project MIS team, S/he will develop light weight mobile apps.
Specific Tasks of the Consultant(s)
Under direct supervision and guidance of the Director – MIS, in collaboration with relevant staff members, and other pertinent stakeholders, the Consultant will perform the following tasksto develop Supply Chain Apps i.e. Inventory Management and feedback systems App etc.:
· Hold a series of meetings with GHSC-PSM MIS team to understand the scope and extent of mobile apps and its architecture.
· Review the requirements and develop mockups.
· Identify any areas to be reviewed in the architecture in line with current industrial best practices and new trends.
· Develop App develop light weight mobile apps based
· Remove bugs if any in live environment
· Provide source code to GHSC-PSM MIS and transfer technology so that MIS team can maintain the Apps in future
Eligibility Criteria
Education: Bachelors in Computer sciences, software engineering or a related field
Work experience: Preferably one-year relevant experience
Deliverable(s)
· Mobile Apps in both different technologies i.e. IOS and Android with source code and ownership
· Documented code and DB Schema
Period of Performance and LOE
The expected duration of the assignment is from May 5, 2019 till Sep 30, 2019, with a total LOE (Level of Effort) / 60 working days and required to sit with MIS team in Islamabad or as per supervisor direction.
