ROLE PURPOSE:

The RH Training Coordinator will be responsible to technically lead and provide support for FP PAC services in two intervention districts – Shikarpur and Jacobabad. The position will lead in clinical and nonclinical trainings, independently conduct internal clinical evaluations and build staff capacity in the gaps identified.  The position holder will be responsible to technically lead different studies, project reviews at the field office level with support of Country office technical and MEAL team. She will support Senior Programme Coordinator and quality assurance team in ensuring quality standards in place.In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Job Description:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

  • Conduct training need assessment for both Save the Children and government staff
  • Review and update training packages to make in line with national/provincial standards
  • Organize trainings as per TNA in both districts
  • Be a co-facilitator for all clinical trainings with PWD and other external trainers
  • Conduct clinical coaching of all service providers for counselling and clinical procedures (IUCD/Implant insertion and removal, PPIUCD and PAC procedures) as per feedback from HQA team
  • Participate in quarterly progress review to be conducted by country office  team
  • Conduct trainee follow up exercise every 6 months internal level
  • Technically support different community mobilization trainings
  • Technically manage annual assessments ( register reviews, Focus group Discussions, Client Exit Interviews and Data audits) as a part of team
  • Co-facilitate multiple studies as and when planned
  • Support in technical reporting and documentation
  • Support RH Manager in coordination with MEAL team
  • Technically support HQA team in promoting positive culture and values for FP and PAC
  • Seek formal and informal technical expertise from the thematic sections
  • Support in development and incorporation of client-friendly methodologies to promote family planning services
  • Support in development of an atmosphere that induces open communication and maximizes skills/experience sharing among the team members.
  • Promote positive attitude of service providers, community mobilization and project management team, through regular value clarification workshops 
  • Provide continuous support to Quality Assurance Officers (QAs) in carrying out Supportive Supervision of Health Facilities/Service providers.
  • Ensuring filling of gaps identified through Supportive Supervision by developing and implementing performance improvement plan with QAs. 
  • Ensuring SS checklist are timely entered in tablets and timely database shared with management.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • MBBS, with 4-5 years similar experience in RH. 
  • Master trainer in Reproductive health areas in general and Family planning and Post abortion care in particular  

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential:

  • Master trainer in Reproductive health areas in general and Family planning and Post abortion care in particular

Desireable:

  • Work experience in RH and FP and PAC programming in development sector
  • Strong communication and client centred counselling skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel to intervention  area
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills:  tact, ability to accept criticism, tolerance, assertiveness, the ability to adapt behavioural style to the circumstances in order to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Preference will be given to locals.
