 1.         KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Acts in the role of Programme Team Leader as specialist in the thematic area.
  • Provide technical advice to CD/DCD in programme planning, implementation, programme budget management, partners’ management and evaluations in line with organization’s country and global policies/strategic plans.
  • Manage diverse programme portfolios, develop innovative concepts and proposals to secure cooperation and support from external funding partners.
  • Develop M&E framework that help in quality reporting and documentation needs of programmes. Contribute in development of Country Strategic Plan with focus on relevant thematic programme areas in coordination with CD/DCD and thematic advisors at HO.
  • Supervise project teams (Sr. Programme Officers and Programme Officers) to ensure programme execution is consistent with planed Programme Framework Outcomes and the approved Country Strategic Plan.
  • Identify capacity building needs of partners and provide required technical support to achieve desired programme results  
  • Lead coordination and networking with local and international development agencies working in Pakistan and abroad to strengthening quality of relevant thematic programmes.
  • Ensure quality and accountability of partners for efficient and effective use of financial resources.
  • Assess programmes with conflict and gender sensitive lens to prevent any negative fallout of the supported interventions

 

2.         MAIN TASKS

  • Develop and maintain good relationship with partners and donors and relevant Government Departments and networks to effectively represent organization at different national and international forums.
  • Participate and facilitate conferences, seminars, training workshops, and meetings for selected technical subjects related to programmes.
  • Review socio- economic data, reports and other relevant information to analyse its relevance with the country specific programme development plans and priorities.
  • Take lead role in proposal and budget development processes for fundraising
  • Lead and conduct capacity building workshops for partners on relevant thematic areas
  • Identify areas of potential technical cooperation with Government and CSOs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and international standards including adherence to Government policies and laws that impact the thematic programmes.
  • Initiate and coordinate synergies within thematic programmes for integrated development and humanitarian interventions.
  • Lead coordination for reporting processes of partners by providing them feedback to develop high quality reports and its timely submission to the donors/HO.


3.Qualifications & Experience Required
(Project-, team-, workgroup-leadership/coordination, facilitation, monitoring, relation building etc.)

  • Masters’ degree preferably in Gender studies or social sciences
  • Minimum 8 eight years’ experience of   in  GBV, human rights or other related fields
  • Solid GBV experience and training in related areas.
  • Good understanding of local conflict context, culture, vulnerable groups, and underlying socio-politico-economic situation
  • Experience of developing program strategy, project proposal, and reports
  • Good knowledge of different community structures
  • Expertise in documentation of statistics print electronic and social media
  • Knowledge and experience of advocacy campaign on social issues.
  • Experience of developing gender considerations into M&E processes
  • Physical ability to conduct regular field visits, reporting and project follow up work
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to define priorities
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Urdu and other local languages would be an advantage
  • Willing to work in a team in the Department
  • Comply with organizational Security routines, regulations and SOPs.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor or management.
  • Changes in this job description will take place after discussions between employer and employee, and as a part of the annual performance review follow-up.

4.   Duration of Job:

  • 1 year with possible renewable extension

5.   Feild Travel:

  • Islamabad based job with upto 40% travel to the field
