|
An international development organization seeks applications for the position of Media Development Manager to work with a dynamic team in Peshawar delivering training to local media partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Media Development Manager is responsible for the research, overall planning, scheduling, and coordination of media development efforts. Specific tasks include:
- Working with senior management to conduct training needs assessments, design training work-plan and schedule to support the capacity building of media outlets, universities, non-profit media organizations, etc.
- Liaise closely with partners and beneficiaries to ensure smooth training implementation and high levels of training take up and engagement from training participants
- Update and maintain the training schedule, in collaboration with senior management and partners
- Research and identify new local partners as needed and carry out their capacity assessment
- Support local partners in the development of their own training plans and small grants
- Coordinate pre-workshop logistics with administration department (communication with participants, accommodation and travel arrangements, if necessary)
- Prepare and manage all training outcome reports, ensuring accurate and interesting data/anecdotes is provided in all monitoring and evaluation reports
- Maintain publications, reports, and multi-media material to ensure sufficient stock
- Develop catalogs and other promotional material
- Maintain and coordinate the use of audio-visual equipment
- Create and maintain training records database
- Prepare other training management reports as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree (Masters) in media or a relevant field and experience in the coordination of training activities or conference planning
- Strong grasp of media situation in the country and specifically NWFP and FATA
- Knowledge of, or aptitude to learn, broadcast and online media tools, including field and production equipment
- Knowledge of database management and M & E methods
- Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong partner, trainer and trainee liaison skills
- Solid computer skills, proficient user of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Knowledge of training principles and delivery
- Fluent in Pushto and Urdu, strong report writing skills in English
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure
