Hashoo Foundation:

The Hashoo Foundation (HF) is a young and dynamic non-profit development organization.  It was founded in 2007, merging three philanthropic family organizations that had functioned separately for the past 20 years.  HF operates within the parameters of its four core programmatic areas:  economic development, education and skills development, supporting people with special needs, and providing emergency relief and social welfare. Job Summary:

The Country Director is an ambitious individual with a desire to lead the Foundation through this exciting time of growth, establishing it firmly as a highly effective and efficient family foundation of international standards. He/she is involved with the Board of Directors in developing the strategic direction, in accordance to HF’s Charter and the aspirations of the Board and the Chairperson.  He/she is an excellent manager, and can guide his/her team with strength and vision.  He/she is the immediate point of contact with the development and business community in Pakistan, and is responsible for initiating partnerships and liaising with stakeholders.

Primary responsibilities include Leadership, Programmatic Planning and Management and Operational Planning and Management.

Qualifications:
  • The Country Director has worked in economic development previously, or has knowledge of business models to further the Foundation’s social enterprise initiatives.  
  • University degree in a related field, with minimum of five years relevant experience/leadership, preferably in the region and more than five years experience in senior executive position.
  • Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities in Pakistan.
  • Knowledge of operational management – including human resource and financial management.
  • Knowledge of project management, including the use of standard project management tools for international development projects.
