Consultant – Mainstreaming Disability

Relevant Experience:

·         Five years training facilitation experience with International organization

 

·         To generate understanding among the policy makers of ERRA, NDMA and SDMA regarding mainstreaming disability into DRR

·         To create awareness regarding disability mainstreaming strategies, policies and tools suitable for disaster management

·         To enhance the capacity regarding disability needs in pre-and post disaster phases with focus on preparedness and mitigation  

·         To create a pool of trainers who will be trained by HI to conduct trainings for 1000 volunteers.

·         To create awareness at grassroots level in order to ensure mainstreaming disability into DRR at all level

 

Job Description:

The Consultant will have the following duties and responsibilities:

·        Desk based research to review project document and existing manuals prepared by HI Nepal and India for manual preparation in the context of Pakistan

·         To conduct training needs assessment with NDMA, SDMA, local organizations and Volunteers/Community workers

·         Sharing of draft manual and modules with HI for their comments and will be finalized after comments from HI and NMDA

·         Any other task assigned to successfully complete the assignment.

 

·         Preparation of Module for Orientation session for ERRA, NDMA and SDMA

·         Plan, organize and facilitate one day training session for policy level officials of NDMA/SDMA

·         Monitoring and Reporting of training

 

·         Preparation of training manual and module for mainstreaming disability into DRR for  SDMA, INGOs, NGOs, DPOs, CBOs and other related actors

·         Plan, Organize and Facilitate two (3 days trainings) for SDMA, INGOs, NGOs, DPOs, CBOs and other related actors on mainstreaming disability into DRR

·         Contingency planning with the participants

·         Monitoring and Reporting of training

·        Preparation of training manual and module for Training of Trainers on Mainstreaming disability into DRR

·         Plan, Organize and Facilitate one week TOT for master trainers

·         Monitoring and Reporting of training
