Relevant Experience:
· Minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in implementation of conflict mitigation, relief and socio-economic development projects;
· Extensive experience with reporting on program impact and implementation;
· Intimate knowledge of NWFP history, politics, cultural issues, government structures etc.
· Knowledge on community mobilization programming and conflict-related issues important;
· Demonstrated excellence writing and speaking English and Pashtu;
· Previous work experience with international donors/NGOs required;
· Proven and demonstrated ability to manage and implement economic and social infrastructure grants through use of community participatory approaches and transparent local bidding mechanism;
· Ability to work under short deadlines and efficiently handle multiple tasks;
· Attention to detail and the ability to function well in a team;
· Excellent interviewing and communication skills;
· Demonstrated skills of supervising field implementation teams of DOs, Engineers, Operational and Support staff.
· Hire & organize field teams and establish field offices in the Districts.
Job Description:
· Liaise with SDU, DCOs, District level field staff and local governments to reinforce program strengths/highlights, ensure full understanding of the program, and ensure program success is credited properly;
· Oversee the programmatic and implementation monitoring of each grant activity in coordination with Development Officers at the field level and with Grant, Procurement, PDU, Finance and Admn & Logistic units of the head office;
· Ensure programmatic quality and integrity by regularly consulting both with communities and district government offices;
· Manage implementation of monitoring and evaluation plan by ensuring information is collecting through the necessary mechanisms;
· Contribute analysis to regular program reports and other written materials;
· Submit weekly updates as instructed by donors and prepare briefing materials as requested;
· Provide and organize training for staff as necessary on programmatic elements;
· Travel extensively throughout the region with occasional travel to other regions at the direction of the Director Program or as own initiative or on demand of field offices;
· Follow and monitor that security protocols are being followed and adopted in the field offices and during travels;
· Other tasks as assigned.
