Web Designer/HCI Expert

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-4 years experience designing high-traffic web sites, especially Web 2.0 experience, with elements such as photo/video sharing.
• Working knowledge and practical application of full end-to-end, user-centered design processes, techniques, and deliverables
• Photoshop/Illustrator and other web design tools
• Expert in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with Web 2.0 social networking sites and dynamic AJAX design patterns
• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation skills, project management.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Strong passion for discovering and solving user problems.
• Strong commitment to excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as the user advocate during the design and development process, provide design recommendations and implementation direction from a user-centered perspective.
• Gather product requirements from internal people as well as potential users.
• Create innovative solutions to improve the user experience.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including project managers, product managers, developers, and other key people.
• Develop the conceptual and visual design for the product.
• Deliver wire frames, page flow diagrams, and ultimately final design mock-ups.
• Deliver production-ready code; HTML/CSS markup that is clean, polished and cross-browser friendly.
