DAI seeks a Procurement Specialist for an anticipated USAID-funded Strengthening Justice Project (SJP) in Pakistan. The program, soon to be tendered, will be a 3-year Rule of Law activity designed to support the strengthening of the Pakistani justice sector. SJP will focus on achieving progress in judicial efficiency, transparency, accessibility, independence and accountability. Its two primary objectives are:
a) to strengthen the institutional capacities of the judiciary, and
b) to build capacity through legal training and enhanced professionalism.

The Procurement Specialist will oversee all procurement activities of the SJP project.  S/he will help to establish procurement policies and procedures in compliance with USAID and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) regulations and ensure that all procurement activities follow these regulations.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent in related field
  • At least 3 years work experience in the procurement, contracts, and/or grants management field, preferably with international donor-funded projects, UN agencies or NGO’s on relevant programs in Pakistan or surrounding region.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate with e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet.
  • Ability to design database and prepare meaningful reports.
  • Team oriented.
