Position:                                 Female intern

Duration of internship:          03 to 06 months

Department:                           Programme Development Unit

Location:                                Country Office, Islamabad

Reporting to:

The intern will be reporting to the head of programmes

Objective:

Through this opportunity international NGO will provide opportunities to fresh graduate to learn about inclusive development and implementation of inclusiveness through its programmes with ultimate objectives of inculcating concept in young graduates regarding disability and inclusiveness.

Organisation will offer opportunities to the intern to learn; report writing skills, understanding of projects and programme, monitoring of projects, communication and its protocols and other areas of work related to non-profit sector.

The intern will be involved in performing day to day activities of the organisation, in order to develop different skills which can help the incumbent in their future jobs.

The intern will be provided with an acquaintance of current projects/programs   and organization’s different departments in its Country office, however, the intern will be working closely with program development unit of the organisation during her tenure.

Specific responsibilities includes but may not be limited to:

  • Assist  head of programme in secondary research and if needed primary research related to current and upcoming projects/programs
  • Assists  in communication products like reporting, drafting letters, meeting minutes and other communication related tasks assigned by line manager
  • Maintaining data and filing system up-to-date and where proper filing system is not available, develops one according to the guidelines available.
  • Travelling to project sites on need basis and submit its report.
  • Be part of trainings, seminars and workshops either arranged by the organisation or its partner(s)
  • Conduct desk research on latest happenings in inclusive development both in public and non-profit sector and draft summarized report and share with line manager
  • Review different documents assigned by line manager.
  • Support Program Unit in performing different administrative tasks, when required
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor or colleague in Program team

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree holder in social sciences or related subject from a reputed university
  • Good command on written and spoken English
  • Computer skills especially in MS Office
  • Willing to work in office as well as to travel to field when required
  • Willing to work in team as well as independently
  • No prior work experience is required
