Job Responsibilities
- Drive vehicle for official travel and business, or as requested by the official representative
- Maintain high standard of service to both internal and external guests
- Ensure punctuality and safe transport while observing the road and traffic laws and regulations
- Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times
- Ensure vehicle repairs are carried out properly by official manufacturers specifications
- Conduct periodic checks on the service tags
- Ensure that all company vehicles are refueled as and when required
- Ensure that all company vehicles are clean
- Ensure the delivery and collection of any written communications to contacts outside of Company
- Ensure that the staff are driven safely to their respective destinations following the security-cleared routes only
- Ensure all security protocols set by the Business Risk team are followed
- Maintain the company car log
Job Specifications
- Must understand the transportation law in Pakistan
- Must have a clean driving license and not charged with any driving offence under Pakistani law
- Good knowledge about car mechanics; should be qualified in first-line repairs and maintenance
- Knowledge of the location of international organisations, airline offices, hotels and restaurants throughout Pakistan
- Proven proficiency in defensive driving tactics and techniques are required
- Should be proficient in all forms of vehicle borne communications, security techniques, and procedures
- Qualified and capable of operating SUVs, Soft-skin and Armored vehicles in urban, open road, off road, limited visibility, and, when necessary, inclement weather conditions, ensuring safe personnel movement through the application of sensible driving practices
- Flexible, effective team work and interpersonal skills; must have basic English language skills and native Urdu fluency. Fluency in any other local language, like Pashto, will be a plus
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as driver with good driving record; preference will be given to individuals who have previously worked with International donor organisations
- Must have held a valid driving license for more than ten (10) years
- Must have completed basic school education and have the ability to read and write to complete necessary paperwork
