PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Master Trainer Non Formal Basic Education, with the guidance and support of the Project Coordinator, extends technical support to the teachers, head teachers and community members through trainings follow up and classroom/field based input. The prime responsibility of the Master Trainer is the capacity building of teachers, head teachers, and district education officials and community members and creating a safe learning environment in schools through implementation of the project activities keeping in view World Vision’s mission and principles
Major Activities:
Undertake training need assessment of teachers, PTC members and other stakeholdersDesign training material/manuals and conduct trainings in close coordination with district education department
Design and implement training follow up mechanism and ensure need based support and guidance to the teachers, head teachers, PTC members, students and other beneficiaries
Ensure timely provision of school/center/student supplies as per the project mandate
Develop low/no cost teaching aids by involving teacher, students and PTC members at school level
Write reports according to the project and donor requirements
Produce success stories/case studies and share with communication section through concerned supervisor
Maintain updated record of concerned activities.
Maintain close coordination with district education department, other education forums, networks/Working Groups by attending meetings, sharing progress and information through concerned supervisor and as per WVI’s policies and procedures.
Contribute in short/long term plans, conducting need assessments and developing concept notes
Submit monthly, weekly and daily work plan to the concern supervisor on regular basis.
Takes on specific tasks as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
MA/MSc with B.Ed.
Master in Education/Teacher Education is desirable
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
Diverse work experience with National/International well reputed organizations is desirable.
3-4 experience in social/community mobilization or participatory processes in relief, early recovery or development projects in NGOs, INGOs & Government Agency.
Good communication skills both verbal and written in English and Urdu
Can communicate in local languages
Good report writing skills
Able to design training material/manuals and conduct trainings to the diverse stakeholders
Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Power Point and Excel)
Informed of CRC and INEE Minimum Standards in emergencies and chronic crises
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated knowledge of protection service provision to children
Knowledge of latest education theories in child development
Ready to take initiatives and willing to work later hours and on weekends during emergencies and genuine need basis
Coordination and team building sills
Demonstrates strong conflict management skills
