In charge of Wood Panel Manufacturing Unit's maintenance operations (i.e electrical,Mechanical ,utility & mobile equipments) Preventive & Scheduled maintenance Programs. With excellent time management. He manages to maintain the engineering store inventory & control. Maintenance Manager also develop and retain a good technical team to meet current and future needs
Academic Knowledge & Required Experience
BSc in engineering preferably in Mechanical Engineering with Minimum 10 years plus hands on experience speciously coinouse press systems of MDF manufacturing maintenance
Job Description:
- Installation and Maintenance of Machines : Oversee the installation, repair and upkeep of the plant, mechanical systems, buildings and other structures.
- Organize plant warehouse : By ordering initial tools, materials, consumables and spare parts and maintaning the inventory of engineering stores
- Short and Long Term Strategies: Determine, develop and implement short and long term maintenance strategies for the plant in coordination with the operations manager. This is to ensure that plant operations run smoothly and effectively achieving targets
- Proactive Scheduling : Schedule maintenance activities by proactively identifying, through routine monitoring of plant equipment to prevent unexpected forced outages. Should have the computer knowledge to generate computer schdules for preventive / schduled maintenance
- Ensure Responsibility: Has direct responsibility for the maintence planning, scheduling and execution of all sections outages including work performed by plant personnel and contractors. This ensure zero tolerance for losses
- Supervision of Subcontractors : Coordinate and supervise the activities of all maintenance subcontractors to ensure cost is controlled and the quality of the work meets stated standards.
- Acting Duty Manager : To act in the capacity of the Duty Manager in rotation with other managers. Rest assured that all the operations is managed effectively
Skills Required
- Must possess a demonstrated high degree of tact in dealing with both plant staff and maintenance personnel
- Excellent administrative and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.
- Proven and demonstrated leadership and management skills within a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work odd hours, weekends and holidays as necessary
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Hands On extensive experience in running the plant maintenance
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and cost cutting solutions
- In depth knowledge of using computer applications not limited to word , excel and power point
