Responsibilities

  • In consultation with implementing partner, identify prevailing VE trends in Lyari to inform CVE training module
  • Develop and/or customize CVE training module for local context based upon technical knowledge and consultation with relevant stakeholders. Detailed responsibilities include:
    • Develop agenda and content for 3-day CVE training
    • Facilitate interactive training in Lyari for 25 stakeholders (Women Community Leaders)
    • Facilitate open group discussion forums with community leaders to identify VE issues in Lyari
    • In consultation with implementing partner, identify CVE-related topics to serve as complementary content to core CVE curriculum
    • Contribute to the development of a plan for how to sustain the engagement and ongoing efforts of Women Community Leaders

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in interactive training design and delivery (both applied and theoretical), particularly for audiences with lower literacy levels
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of CVE, including, but not limited to, CVE push and pull factors, ideally in the Karachi context
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage discussion around sensitive topics
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail while working on fast deadlines
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (visits to Lyari required)
  • Experience in working with individuals, particularly women, from conservative backgrounds
  • Positive attitude
  • Knowledge of Lyari a plus
