A USAID-funded project, located in Islamabad urgently requires the services of appropriately qualified individual, on part-time consultancy contract, as per following detail.

Web & Graphics Designer/ User Interface (UI) Expert

This short term induction is likely to contunue till April 2016.

The web & graphics designer will be engaged to design the GUI of the MIS/GIS as per the requirement. He / She will also assist the team in designing the MIS system components like the report formats, forms, charts, graphs, maps and etc.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Designing page layouts including text size and colors.
2. Designing graphics, animations and manipulating digital photographs.
3. Working with different content management systems.
4. Meeting relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy.
5. Designing the system’s visual imagery and ensuring it is in line with branding policy or the requirements.
6. Proofreading content and grammar and making changes where necessary.
7. Editing content, debugging code and re-designing web pages.
8. Working with other web specialists including web developers and system analyst.
9. Testing the system design to ensure it is working;
10. Continual professional development to keep up to date with new software developments.

Requirements

1. Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant field.
2. Expert in Adobe CS5/6 (Photoshop, Premiere, Flash & Other latest tools)
3. Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
4. Strong command over JavaScript Libraries like jQuery
5. Strong knowledge in style sheet understanding CSS, CSS2, CSS3 have worked in HTML5/ bootstrap framework.
6. Capable to understand the exiting coding/ development and adjusting into it.
