A USAID-funded project, located in Islamabad urgently requires the services of appropriately qualified individual, on part-time consultancy contract, as per following detail.

Technical Writer

This short term induction is likely to contunue till April 2016.

The Technical Writer will prepare a document/ user manual, which will help the user to understand the system features and its operations. He/ She will write a document, containing technical information about products and services, in a way that makes it easy to understand. The information may be presented in the form of user guides for software applications, training guides or online help incorporated into software and operating guides. 

Role & Responsibilities

1. Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the system and the documentation requirements.
2. Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
3. Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and guides.

Requirements

1. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
2. Strong grasp on written English language.
3. At least 2 years of experience in technical document writing.
4. Experience of working with Software Development Environments and Document Lifecycle Management.
