Software Engineer

Software Engineer:

A USAID-funded project, based in Islamabad, running till April 2017, urgently requires the services of an appropriately qualified Software Engineer, as per following detail.

The software Engineer will assist the IT Specialist in core development and design of the MIS. He/ She will write and test a code based on conceptual description of the business logic and including the development of database components as per requirement of software/MIS.

Role & Responsibilities

1. To write and test a code based on conceptual description of the business logic.
2. To design and development of database components as per requirement of software.
3. To identify operational and technical problems, suggest and implement changes.
4. To perform or direct revision, repair or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
5. To maintain confidentiality with regards to the information being processes, stored or accessed.
6. To take regular backups of the source code, database/database components, forms, and etc.  
7. Any other duty / assignment assigned by the IT Specialist.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
2. Hand on experience in Object Oriented Design using .NET Framework.
3. Proficient in JavaScript.
4. Understanding of n-tier applications or layered architecture.
5. Proficient in Debugging and Troubleshooting.
6. Experienced in using Source Control.
7. Programming Languages (JavaScript, ASP.net, C#, HTML/XHTML)
8. Servers/Platforms (MS SQL Server)
9. Interface Protocols & Standards (Ajax, Web Services)
10. Processes (Object Oriented Design)
