Project Description:

CNFA is currently seeking an Environmental Coordinator for the United States – Pakistan Partnership for Agricultural Market Development (AMD) program in Pakistan. This program will aim to create productive commercial linkages between agricultural producers and the private sector in the mango, citrus, halal meat, and high-value off-season vegetable value chains.

Position Summary:

This position will be based in Lahore and is open to Pakistani nationals only. The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the environmental compliance of all activities under AMD. The Environmental Coordinator reports directly to the Chief of Party. Specific duties include:

  • Ensure programmatic and project-level compliance with USAID environmental guidelines, in coordination with the MEO;
  • Ensure programmatic and project-level compliance with all host country environmental regulations;
  • Develop the Environmental Review Checklist (ERC);
  • Develop, monitor and report on environmental mitigation activities quarterly to the Chief of Party;
  • Work with the Monitoring and Evaluation Director in assessing the environmental impact of all project activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pakistani national;
  • Prefer for candidate to be from Lahore area;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required, Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred;
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience providing similar support, preferably in an international environment;
  • Prior USAID or other international donor experience preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe applications;
  • Fluency in English required;
  • Fluency in Urdu preferred.
