Request for proposal for “Enterprise Development Training”

Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP) is an autonomous non-for-profit organization working in the rural areas of Balochistan. BRSP's history goes back to the project "Pak-German self-help initiative" that was initiated in 1983 in collaboration with Government of Germany and Pakistan. The project was implemented by the Local Government Department of Balochistan with the collaboration of GTZ (German Agency for Technical Co-operation) advisory group. In the mid-90s, BRSP existed in 13 districts of Balochistan, with 250 staff members. The programme, however, had to be scaled down substantially in the subsequent years as GTZ withdrew its support. After a long interval of inactivity, BRSP restarted its operations in 2001 with financial support from PPAF. In 1991 BRSP was registered under the Companies Ordinance as a non-profit organization dedicated to rural development in the province. The overall mission of BRSP is to facilitate the establishment and improvement of sustainable livelihoods of the rural poor in Balochistan.

BRSP entered into an agreement with Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) under livelihood project since july 2011 n 10 district of Pishin & Kharan. The project aims at improving the income of the poor and under privileged group of the society. Project focusses on enhancing the skills for greater income generation. The objective of livelihood projects are to develop the capacity, opportunities, assets and productivity of community members to reduce their vulnerability to shocks, improve their livelihood initiatives and strengthen their business operations.

Now BRSP intends to train 450 community members of district Kharan & Pishin on Enterprise Development Training at district level.

Interested Training Institutes and Individuals are requested to apply as per below instructions;

Scope of work:

After receiving the Enterprise Development training the beneficiary will be able to conduct a market survey for establishing his business and also will be aware of the basic tools of business such as types/steps of business, business cycle, 6 Ps of marketing, value chain, supply & demand, costing, feasibility and business plan development.

Qualification of Institution / firm;

  • The institute/firm is registered under the law of the country
  • It has authority of awarding certificate in the trade for which community members are to be enrolled
  • The institute/firm has at least five year experience and have track record of the trainings events conducted
  • The institute/firm has proper physical setup and has relevant equipment & tool, workshops, trained and experience staff.
  • Have minimum 5 years’ experience in training conduction.
