Role: Deputy Chief of Party
Employment Type: Contract (up to 1 year) with 1 month probation. Contract shall be renewed annually subject to review.
Description of Duties
Abacus Consulting is seeking to identify a dynamic individual for the position of Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for its USAID funded project based in Peshawar. The incumbent shall possess a solid understanding of and experience in managing and successfully implementing public administration and capacity building programs in politically sensitive and volatile environments, preferably in the FATA region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or similar environment.
The DCOP shall have at least Fifteen (15+) years of progressively responsible experience in development project management including prior experience as a DCOP/Deputy Project Director. Prior experience working with USAID contractors or grantees is preferred. Fluency in spoken and written Pashtu is preferred.
He/She will be actively involved in the management, administration of the project and its activities as well as coordination with FATA Secretariat and Donor organisation.
Qualifications/Education
- PhD or JD/ABD (Preferably) or MBA or Masters or Advance Degree in public administration, finance, economics or related field from an accredited university.
