  1. Job Title: District Nutrition Manager
  2. Job Location:   Peshawar with frequent travel to project sties at Union Councils
  3. Reports to: Project Manager
  4. Responsible for: CMAM Project staff
  5. Duration of Contract: 5 months

 Job Responsibilities

1. Monitor implementation of Nutrition Program

  • Ensure the CMAM and IYCF Programs implemented in the field offices as per the project proposal and Project  Work Plan
  • Give technical and programmatic guidance for all staffs at the field offices
  • Ensure all the components of the project activities are carried out as per national guideline and with high quality standard.
  • Guide field staffs to timely prepare weekly and monthly plan towards accomplishing the AWP and monitor the accomplishments accordingly
  • Conduct regular monitoring visit to OTP/SFP sites at Union council and also to villages’ to assess the implementation status of projects activities towards achieving the project objectives in an efficient way
  • Use the necessary monitoring/supervision tools in order to accomplish the nutrition  activities in standardized way
    • Organize periodic review meetings at district level and provide feedback to district nutrition teams regarding program implementation

2. Staff capacity building

  • Organize and conduct orientation workshops and trainings for nutrition staffs and other auxiliary staffs
  • Provide technical and programmatic guidance for all nutrition staffs at field offices through regular supportive supervision and coaching

3. Administration and Financial Management

  • Monitor the nutrition program budget of field offices on regular basis and report on the expenditure status to Project Manager on regular basis
  • Work closely with Adm/HR,Finance and Project Manager to ensure that Admin, HR and Finance related activities are carried out as per JUH policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all staffs are at their work place and performing their duties responsibly during working hours

4. Logistic and procurement

  • Work closely with Operational Manager and Logistic  to ensure all procurement of goods is adhering to JUH procurement policies and procedures.
  •  Make timely requisition and ensure timely arrival of supplies and monitor distribution to the field offices and OTP/SFP sites
  •   Monitor proper storage of nutrition supplies at Provincial and Field warehouses
  •   Ensure the Vehicles at the field office are efficiently used for programmatic purpose only

5. Coordination and Collaboration

  •  Coordinate and maintain good working relationships with local government authorities in the districts

6. Reporting and documentation

  • Ensure all nutrition data are collected with quality and reported prepared and shared on time
  • Prepare high quality monthly progress report in time.
  • Ensure that  meeting minutes, monitoring report and program success stories are documented properly and shared to Provincial Office
  • Ensure all JUH documents including hard and soft copies of data relating to program operations are being stored safely and easy access when necessary Prepare and submit all the reports required by WFP and UNICEF on time fulfilling their reporting requirements.
  •   Work closely with Nutrition Coordinator in the preparation of  new project proposals
  •   Any other relevant tasks assigned by Nutrition Coordinator or Provincial Head

7. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • More than 2 years  experience in CMAM and IYCF Projects  Management,
  • preferably in International Non-Governmental Organizations(INGO)
  • MBBS with MPH/MSc/B.Sc in Nutrition or proven nutrition experience
  • Experience with Nutritional Survey is an asset
  • Office administration, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Training and staff development experience
  • Advanced computer and strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Very good report writing skills in English
  • Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in remote and eventually unstable environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and writing ability in English and Urdu, Sindhi would be an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage/lead day to day program activities
