Manager Community Mobilization

An international non-governmental organization (INGO) is seeking Manager Community Mobilization for its Community Mobilization Program in Sindh (CMP). He/She will be responsible for assisting the Programme team in developing, implementing, managing and monitoring program. This position will provide support to implementing partners to effectively mainstream and monitor cross cutting themes i.e. Gender, disaster risk reduction across the programs. He/She will be working as a focal point for the implementation of Community Mobilization activities in accordance to standard program guidelines. Provide support to the district team in meeting high programmatic standards in terms of design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation through CMP Project Cycle Management System, Quality Guidelines and PMP Framework. Develop appropriate relationships with partner organizations, offering support as required without being directive; and being open to two-way learning. Facilitate training programs and capacity building activities for partner organizations, CMP staff and other stakeholders as required. Network and liaise with other relevant agencies and stakeholders to represent CMP/IRD in area(s) of expertise; and more broadly as required by the team.

This position will be located in Sukkur, Pakistan with regular travel to the field. He/She will report to the Deputy Chief of Party, Karachi. This position requires a professional who speaks Local languages and has a strong Sindh work background.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience managing donor-supported community mobilization and community development projects.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collegially and productively with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, or related discipline
  • Strong background and work experience in
  • Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfill the technical and managerial responsibilities proposed.
  • Ability to participate in all representation and technical meetings in English and Urdu/Sindhi.
  • Familiarity with local languages will be a distinct advantage.
  • Living and working experience in the Sindh Province.
