PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of position is to carry out all procurement in accordance with the WV Pakistan’s rules, regulation, policies & procedures.
Major Activities:
Processing all type of procurements for WVI/P with all its formalities like getting quotations, making comparative statements, getting approval with a high standard of transparency;
Assisting the Procurement Manager/ Procurement Officer in selection in Vendors;
Raising Purchase orders for the goods and services, monitoring expenses and processing payment for the goods and services procured;
Maintaining a proper record of all procurements carried out.
Purchase all supplies including stationary for WV Pakistan according to the WV policies;
Facilitate preferred Supplier Committee, ensuring compliance with WV policies requirements at all times
Making market survey for various products and calling quotations for them
Assist the Supervisor in making procurement policies in accordance with the WV international policies and local situation.
Facilitate the admin and project staff for the survey of hotels and guest houses.
Preparing and sending the regret letters to vendors
Update the Procurement tracking sheet and data base on need basses
Receiving sample from the vendor and tagged them for bid opening
To ensure that all advances for procurement are liquidated in a timely manner and any other duties as may be assigned by procurement manager and Procurement Officer
Follow up for all purchase and payment
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Graduate or equivalent Degree
At-least 2 year of procurement experience preferably in INGO/UN or relatively larger organization
Experience in Purchasing
Good English communication skills (oral and written)
Well verse with procurement procedures, filling systems.
Must be aware of local market, and Government offices.
Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.
Able to do other duties required by the supervisor
Strong interpersonal skills
