Responsibilities:

  • Worked under supervision of Network Coordinators, Executive Council of REAT network with consultation of concern TAF staff Collection of information and event calendars and dissemination of information to all members of the Network for better communication and coordination
  • Data collection from network members districts, analysis and repacking for advocacy purposes
  • Manage archive of all REAT news clippings and other relevant news items.
  • Development of knowledge center/resource center by collecting relevant material and research papers from relevant national and international institutions.
  • Prepare publications: Annual Reports, Quarterly Newsletters. Success stories, press releases etc for REAT Network.
  • Develop and manage the REAT communication, advocacy, media and public relations strategy.
  • Manage media relationships, set up press conferences and other media opportunities and get press releases out to national and international media.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to REAT Executive Council regarding funds generation opportunities.
  • Perform any other task assign by the Executive Council

 

Qualification Required: At least a Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Political Science, or relevant field.

 

   Experience Required: At least 5 years’ experience in advocacy and communication                                                                

  • Good communication and coordination skills 
  • Deep familiarity with development issues in Pakistan.
  • Deep understanding with human rights issues
  • Good understanding of the working dynamics of provincial human rights departments, ministry of religious affairs and ministry of law, justice, and human rights
  • Specific experience in developing media and advocacy         strategy
  • Expertise in content finalization and    designing and layouts
  • Excellent linkages with media (both print and electronic)

 

      Competencies required:

  • Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel (spreadsheets) and PowerPoint

 

  • Fluent in analytical writing and report designing
  • Ability to travel extensively within the country.
  • Outstanding spoken and written communication skills in both English and Urdu.
