Responsibilities:

  • Act as a focal point at the federal level to coordinate and liaise Network activities at the national and provincial level.
  • Work under supervision of Executive Council of REAT network with consultation of concerned TAF staff.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, conference and seminars for Network activities, prepare appropriate budget documentation for such events and communicate to Executive Council.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of correspondence and other programmatic materials generated under REAT Network from time to time.
  • Participate in Network meetings, Planning & Review meetings, and in-house meetings, prepare minutes of the meetings, and coordinate in the preparation of quarterly reports and other reporting requirements as needed.
  • Organization of executive council meetings on quarterly basis to review the progress against work plan and organization of REAT general body meeting on annual basis.
  • Program development (proposals, EOIs, RFAs) and fund generation for network in consultation with the Executive Council
  • Organize provincial working group meetings of REAT network
  • Organization of advocacy/lobbying meetings of REAT members with national and provincial decision makers and international delegations
  • Organization of Annual REAT Awards
  • Development of Administrative, HR manual, Procurement manual, financial policies and procedures of REAT Network within 2 months
  • Preparation and Implementation of yearly action plan based on 3-years strategic plan and agreed upon by executive council of the Network
  • Capacity building of member organizations to achieve the objectives of REAT Network.
  • Advise Executive Council and TAF about REAT network activities
  • Prepare annual budget for network, prepare variance statements and strategies for better utilization of budget.
  • Monitor progress on various aspects of the network. Revise and devise strategies to meet targets.
  • Perform any other task assign by the Executive Council

 

 

        Qualification Required:

A Master’s Degree in social sciences or any other relevant field is required. An advanced degree or other academic certification in human rights is preferred.

        Experience Required:

  • At least 10 years’ experience, with programs related to [1] promotion and protection of human rights, [2] strategic advocacy for changes in law and policy, and [3] public awareness-raising.
  • Expertise in practical implementation of international human rights law (through domestic legislation, legal aid, “shadow” reports to United Nations human rights bodies, monitoring and reporting on rights violations, police or court training, or other strategies) is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise and experience related to the rights of thought, expression and association, and especially rights of religious minorities, is highly advantageous.
  • At least 7 years increasing responsibility for program and financial management
  • Experience designing and implementing (or facilitating) capacity-building for civil society
  • Experience facilitating networks or coalitions would be advantageous.
  • Experience managing and/or implementing donor-funded programs.
  • Experience managing personnel and consultants.

           Competencies required:

Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel (spreadsheets) and PowerPoint

 

Fluent in analytical writing and program designing

Ability to travel extensively within the country.

Outstanding spoken and written communication skills in both English and Urdu.
