Team Leader

 

Objective:                                To plan, implement and manage the Rapid project at district Bannu/DIK

 

Reporting Responsibilities:     The Project Coordinator will report to:

  1. The Area Program Manager KPK  RI
  2. The Program Manager RI

Technical Responsibilities:

  • To plan project interventions with the  staff of the his/her respective  team on weekly, monthly and yearly basis, based on the technical proposal of the Project
  • To ensure the project interventions such as shelters, hand pumps and latrines rehabilitation  are properly implemented and are result bearing by monitoring the activities in the field
  • To make sure that all the sectors of the project in his her district, work together as an integrated unit
  • To ensure that his/her respective staff  has the relevant technical skills to perform the functions assigned to them
  • To evaluate and monitor the progress of the project interventions
  • To report on the progress made, on weekly, monthly, quarterly and project completion basis and share with all the stakeholders of the project,
  • To perform other duties not specified by this ToR when necessary
  •  Motivate and inspire team members
  • Lead by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words
  • Identification and developing of success stories of the project activities

 

Administrative Responsibilities:

 

Human Resources:

  • To supervise of his/her respective Staff member
  • To ensure that staff  follow the approved SOPs of RI
  • To participate in the recruitment and termination of his/her project Staff contracts in consultations and coordination with the RI-Area Program manager or program manager and in compliance with RI policies and procedures
  • To conduct formal and informal performance appraisals of his/her project staff as per RI policies and procedures  and report the same to the RI-Area Program Manager or program manager with suggestions for promotion, termination or capacity building of the staff
  • To advise staff on improvement of their performance, as required, based on the performance appraisals
  • To ensure that his/her project staff is properly paid for the services they render for the Project

Logistics

  • To coordinate that all the logistic arrangements are in place for smooth functioning of his/her district
  • To coordinate procurement of all the support material and supplies for smooth functioning of his/her project, as per RI procurement procedures. This includes collection of bids, scrutiny of bids and making final recommendations to the RI-Area Manager or program manager for placement of Purchase Order to the selected vendor.

 

Administration

  • To ensure that all staff have proper work places to sit and are properly equipped with the supplies, equipment and furniture that they would require in order to ensure effective performance

 Finance

  • To prepare draft budget for his/her unit/district of the  PROJECT in coordination with Finance officer and the his supervisor
  • To manage Petty Cash  (reimbursable) with the support of project Finance officer under  the supervision of the Program Manager
  • To coordinate that proper financial record of the transactions of the Project is maintained
  • To coordinate that timely financial reports are prepared and are submitted to the Program Manager and to the RI-Area Program Manager on monthly basis.

Linkages

  • To represent and promote Rapid Project to all stakeholders in his/her working district
  • To establish networks with FDMA, PDMA, Concern focal person, UNOCHA and district administration to ensure in time support to NWA-TDP.
  • To attend the shelter and WASH clusters meetings at district level.

Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in social Science or civil engineer.
  • Must have knowledge of the emergency project with more skill on shelter and WASH related activities.
  • At least 3-4 years of progressive experience and proven track record of relevant competence of working with NGOs/INGOs.
  • Experience in development programming and management, program planning and reporting;
  •  Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability and interest to work with a multi-ethnic team in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Experience of working in unstable or conflict affected areas and willingness to work in very remote areas with limited services and amenities.
  • Experience in working with and coordination with international and national NGOs and government agencies.
  • Having adept knowledge of computer applications and soft wares (MS Word, MS Excel & Power point).
  • Strong writing/drafting and reporting skills.
