Procurement Specialist

An international non-governmental organization (INGO) is seeking to hire Procurement Specialist for its Community Mobilization Program in Sindh (CMP). The Procurement Specialist manages Procurement Plans and activities for the CMP Project and seek input from the relevant technical specialists. He/She will report to Director Finance and Administration. He/She will be responsible for all Procurements, Supplies, Services and maintaining all procurement records and vendor database. To ensure the integrity of the procurement processes of all goods and services required for Karachi and field offices. This position will be based in Karachi and will require travel in different locations of Sindh province.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Excellent communication skills; proven ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to determine priorities.
  • Capable of working under pressure and is results-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Experience providing accounting and managing sizable Community Mobilization program.
  • Demonstrated computer and typing skills; Excel and WinWord skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in use of Cost point 7  accounting software, a plus
  • University degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent in professional qualification with minimum 3-5 years relevant (USAID funded projects experience) and or experience with NGOs/INGOs.

Desirable:

  • Candidate having experience of working on Cost Point 7 financial software will be having distinct advantage
