Job Title:                IT & Technical Equipment Coordinator

BACKGROUND:
An international media development organization seeks applications from qualified candidates to join a dynamic team to support the management and operations of public information media development programs

SUMMARY

The IT & Technical Equipment Coordinator will manage the technical & IT infrastructure of organization and provide improvement suggestions to those of its partner organizations

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the provision of ICT infrastructure services including desktop applications, Local and/or Wide Area Networks and other telecommunications services
  • Design and implement ICT Architecture that aligns ICT solutions to organization  objectives/strategies Assess the technical & IT infrastructure of office and partner organizations and suggest improvements
  • Develop/update training policies and manuals, Identify and conduct training
  •  Design and deliver training to users & partner organizations to reflect changing ICT Industry
  • Conducts need assessment of radio studios & equipment at partner organization
  • Ensure awareness amongst office staff and partner organization staff regarding DATA Security and safety
  • Develop functional requirements and technical specifications and provide input for the acquisition of hardware and software to meet current and future computing needs, in line with organization acquisition policy and procedures
  • Administer organizational website and portals in coordination with  relevant departments
  • Make sure the safety and security of technical equipment and facilities at office
  • Maintain and update technical items inventory with close coordination of inventory officer and make available for any other assignments given by the supervisor
  • Carry out additional tasks as and when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master degree in relevant area
  • At least 2-3 years prior technical (Broadcast) & ICT related experience
  • Sufficient skills and knowledge in audio systems, software
  • Knowledge of studios design and construction and experience of installation of Radio Broadcast equipment.
  • Familiarity with LAN & Wan system management
  • Familiarity with different kind of Servers e.g. FTP, MS Exchange, Firewalls, VPN, Web and Domain based Servers
  • Familiarity with Domain Based Network
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, and ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to follow schedules and meet deadlines
