General Background and Position Description

USAID Power Distribution Program (PDP) is providing assistance to the government owned Power Distribution Companies of Pakistan (DISCOs), with the aim to curtail losses, enhance revenues and have a well regulated power distribution system in Pakistan.  PDP’s assistance, in its current phase, is geared towards Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) and Peshawar Electric Power Company (PESCO) and will end in Septmber 2015

Relevant Experience:

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance , economics or related field
  2. 2-5 years of relevant experience with Procurements and/or Contracts. 1 year experience with the U.S. Government and/or USAID procurements is highly desired

Job Description:

  • Receive and log procurement requests from PDP technical experts into the PDP Procurement Tracker;
  • Manage PDP subcontractor/vendor qualification database;
  • Perform visual compliance and vendor screening of awarded contracts/procurements
  • Manage hard copy and soft copy filing of all procurement documentation.  Ensures that all documents have no errors in filenames and are filed according to the PDP file structure;
  • Review previously awarded contracts/procurements and ascertain required documentation according to checklist are included in the contract/procurement file;
  • Perform file validation and document control, report status to the Contracts Manager;
  • Refer problems or issues to the appropriate contract/procurement specialist.
  • Any other task as assigned by the Contracts Manager
