Responsibilities

  • To develop and manage the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and report on monthly basis on key achievements and challenges facing the project  
  • Liaise and coordinate effectively with Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the provincial and federal level and build their linkages with the Women Business development centers
  • Facilitate and build linkages of provincial networks with SAWES network 
  • Undertake field visits, coordinate with project partners, provide support to partner organizations in capacity building
  • Building and maintenance of network of partners and resources related to project
  • Communicate and liaise closely with project partners, International NGO community, ministries, provincial departments, other  government agencies, media and academia, including representing project at various events and meetings as assigned
  • Prepare program reports for assigned objective as needed
  • On-going coordination and information exchange with Director of Finance, Grants and Compliance.

Job Specification

Qualification Required:

Master’s degree in social sciences or equivalent

Experience Required:

  • At least 5 years’ progressive responsibility in project management
  • Robust understanding and knowledge of women entrepreneurship in Pakistan and South Asia
  • Excellent communication, networking, and inter-personal skills;
  • Innovative and creative thinking in relation to women entrepreneurship and networking
  • Understanding and experience of program monitoring and evaluation tools and practices a definite asset

Computer/other skills required:

Good command of MS Office applications

Any other preference:

  • Outstanding spoken and written communication skills in both English and Urdu. 
  • Good understanding of major development challenges facing Pakistan, especially those related to small and medium entreprises and women entrepreneurship
  • Proven cross cultural sensitivity and flexibility required
  • Strong work ethics and values
  • Ability to create and maintain a high level of effective output; capacity to work hard and remain focused within exacting standards of performance with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel, at times in difficult conditions
  • Ability to capture and respond favorably to suggestions for change and improvement
