Short Term Consultant -
Web Development

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Propose structure to organize various project related information and provide accessibility to stakeholders related to the horticulture and meat value-chains.
2. Create blogs and feedback options for stakeholders to share ideas and get connected to each other
3. Propose optimal technical platforms, hosting facilities, software for various kind of video and picture based content, interactivity (blogs, emails etc.) and ensures their implementation to allow easy, secure and fast access to the website and the many resources listed there.
4. Ensure testing and successful implementation of website platform and all its features.
5. Develop graphic layout and technical design of project website and resource portals for eight horticulture and meat value-chains.
6. Drawing up detailed website specifications, design & coding variety of softwares.
7. Working with different content management systems & search engine optimisation, meeting relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards and privacy.
8. Editing content, debugging code and re-designing web pages.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, in the field of Computer Science.
• At least 7 - 10 year experience with a combination of private sector and international development organizations, and at least 5 years of Web Development experience.
• Familiarity with 3D tools, Graphic softwares and web development scripting tools.
• Knowledge of Blog and groups, for the feedback of stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successful teamwork, good presentation/facilitation skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills
