The Johanniter International Assistance is currently implementing projects in Nutrition and Health to improve the nutritional status of children and Pregnant and lactating women, basic health care, Maternal & child Health , strengthening and supporting the local health system and structures,
The Nutrition Program encompasses Community Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Infant &Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and Community Based Nutrition (CBN) intervention. Currently, the nutrition program will be implemented in Kashmore-Kandhkot Sindh.
6. Main Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical and programmatic guidance of the Nutrition Program for project site.
6.1 Monitor implementation of Nutrition Program
Ensure the CMAM, IYCF and CBN Programs implemented in Kashmore-Kandhkot as per the project proposal and Work Plan.
Give guidance for Nutrition Program staffs in the field offices in preparing weekly and monthly plan towards accomplishing the Work Plan.
Monitor the accomplishments of weekly and monthly plans of the project activities.
Ensure all the components of the project activities are carried out as per national guideline and with high quality standard.
Conduct regular monitoring visit to the project sites to assess the implementation status of projects activities towards achieving the project objectives in an efficient way.
Develop/adopt necessary monitoring/supervision tools to ensure better quality of nutrition activities implemented.
Organize periodic review meetings at district level and provide feedback to district nutrition teams regarding program implementation.
6.2 Coordination and Collaboration
Coordinate with Provincial and District Health Offices and Pakistani People Public Health Initiative(PPHI) to ensure close collaboration for implementation of the project
Collaborate/coordinate with technical departments for providing necessary support for implementation of projects/programs.
Coordinate and maintain good working relationships with local government authorities.
6.3 Reporting and documentation
Ensure all nutrition data and reports are good quality and in time.
Prepare high quality monthly progress report in time.
Prepare meeting minutes, monitoring report and program success stories
Ensure all JUH documents including hard and soft copies of data relating to program operations are being stored safely and easy access when necessary.
Prepare quarterly and end project reports
7. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- 3-5 years’ experience in CMAM and IYCF Projects Management,
- Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, emergency program management and nutritional situation of under-five children and PLWs.
- MBBS with MPH or MSc/MPhil in Human Nutrition
- Demonstrated knowledge/skills in data management, reporting and use of computers applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, project planning, communication and management skills.
- Strong knowledge of using the Nutrition related & Health related data management tools.
- Strong knowledge of Nutrition protocols, guidelines, reporting and standards
- Experience with Nutritional Survey is an asset
- Office administration, problem solving and organizational skills
- Training and staff development experience
- Advanced computer and strong Microsoft Office skills
- Good command of English and Very good report writing skills in English
- Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in remote and eventually unstable environment
- Fluency in Urdu, Sindhi and other local language is an advantage
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage/lead day to day program activitie
