Chemonics International, an international development consulting company based in Washington, D.C., seeks Pakistani national candidates for the USAID-funded Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP). This five year initiative aims to improve the enabling environment for the agriculture sector in Punjab to promote private sector led growth, especially focusing on the horticulture and dairy and livestock sub-sectors. We are seeking qualified candidates for the following long-term position based in Lahore, Punjab province, Pakistan.

Internal Auditor/Compliance Manager.

  • Ensure project compliance with relevant Pakistani and USAID regulations, policies, and laws, keeping the chief of party, director of business risk, and the home-office project management unit informed of important developments.
  • Audit and advise on local grants and subcontracts, ensuring they comply with USAID regulations and Chemonics policies.
  • Maintain overall integrity of PEEP operations, finances, grants, and procurement processes.
  • Report to the chief of party and supervise the grants manager and operations manager.
  • Leverage home-office expertise in grant and procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting or related field is required; certifications and/or master's degree preferred;
  • Experience with USAID  or other donor and/or development-related organizations preferred;
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity;
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to maintain a rapid and demanding pace of work;
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral communication skills;
  • Detail oriented and ability to accurately document files;
  • Fluency in both written and oral English required.
  • Experience working with U.S. government agencies, Pakistani government officials, private sector stakeholders, and/or bilateral/multilateral institutions;
