Chemonics International, an international development consulting company based in Washington, D.C., seeks Pakistani national candidates for the USAID-funded Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP). This five year initiative aims to improve the enabling environment for the agriculture sector in Punjab to promote private sector led growth, especially focusing on the horticulture and dairy and livestock sub-sectors. We are seeking technical specialists for the following long-term position based in Lahore, Punjab province, Pakistan.

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

  • Designs M&E system and oversees data collection and produces analysis.
  • Responsible for all reporting deliverables, uploading data into PakInfo, and responding to USAID's requests for information.
  • Contributes to and collaborates with project staff on the PMP, and provides feedback to component counterparts to ensure project work plans reflect ongoing learning process.
  • Supervises business enabling environment mid-term and final evaluations and provides technical assistance as necessary to design and respond to third-party capacity building evaluations.
  • Serves as the gender liaison assessing gender issues in all aspects of project implementation.
  • Reports to the chief of party; does not have any direct supervisees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business, or related field is required; certifications and/or master's degree preferred;
  • Experience with USAID  or other donor and/or development-related organizations preferred;
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity;
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to maintain a rapid and demanding pace of work;
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral communication skills;
  • Detail oriented and ability to accurately document files;
  • Fluency in both written and oral English required.
  • Experience working with U.S. government agencies, Pakistani government officials, private sector stakeholders, and/or bilateral/multilateral institutions;
