Chemonics International, an international development consulting company based in Washington, D.C., seeks Pakistani national candidates for the USAID-funded Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP). This five year initiative aims to improve the enabling environment for the agriculture sector in Punjab to promote private sector led growth, especially focusing on the horticulture and dairy and livestock sub-sectors. We are seeking technical specialists for the following long-term position based in Lahore, Punjab province, Pakistan.

Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant

  • Support the monitoring and evaluation specialist by assisting in collection of data, including helping project staff and grantees report on data inputs.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through periodic field visits.
  • Assist in preparing reports and communications about progress on targets and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices to staff, stakeholders, and USAID.
  • Assist in training staff and selected partners on M&E system operations
  • Report to the monitoring and evaluation specialist; does not have any direct supervisees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business, or related field is required; certifications and/or master's degree preferred;
  • Experience with USAID  or other donor and/or development-related organizations preferred;
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity;
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to maintain a rapid and demanding pace of work;
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral communication skills;
  • Detail oriented and ability to accurately document files;
  • Fluency in both written and oral English required.
  • Experience working with U.S. government agencies, Pakistani government officials, private sector stakeholders, and/or bilateral/multilateral institutions;
