Job Title:                    NGO Coordinator

Reports To:                Regional Program Manager

Job Summary & Specific Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

The candidate will assume challenging role in Program and will assist the RPM in day to day functioning of respective department.

Qualifications / Experience

The NGO Coordinator/ Assistant NGO Coordinator, under the supervision of the RPM will:

  • Work closely with rural support organisations contracted by ASF to assist them to develop work programmes.
  • Ensure that ASF objectives are fully incorporated into work programmes.
  • Coordinate the work of rural support organisations to ensure that there is no overlap of or conflict of interest in their activities.
  • Supervise the activities of farmer group enterprises formed by rural support organisations and assist enterprises as necessary to identify BDS providers and to access ASF funds for buying such services.
  • Collaborate with Financial Analysts and the Grant Supervision Officer to establish a database of grant recipients, their objectives for the use of ASF funds, the terms of the grant contract including grant disbursement schedules, agreed impact indicators, etc.
  • Work with Agribusiness Development Project monitoring and evaluation staff to establish a monitoring and evaluation system for farmer enterprise formation and to facilitate ASF impact assessment.
  • Submit regular reports to the RPM on the implementation in farmer group enterprise formation, enterprises’ use of ASF funds and the broader economic impact of ASF funds in rural communities.
  • Master’s degree in public administration, economics, agricultural economics, rural development, social sciences or other relevant degrees.
  • Minimum experience of 6 years is required out of which 3 year should be in a similar role. Experience of working with International NGOs, donor agencies, or other reputed international development organizations will be a plus.
  • Computer literacy with demonstrated use of word processing, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, Power Point etc).
  • Excellent writing and communications skills in English required. Computer literacy with demonstrated use of word processing, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, Power Point etc).
