JOB PURPOSE:

The incumbent shall be responsible to train youth in market oriented technical, entrepreneurial and managerial skills, confidence building and skills necessary to enhance their potentials and sustainable earning. He/she would be responsible to develop the training material including Training curriculum, Training Manual, Pre & Post test assessment, Training Evaluation form, Presentations and trainees handouts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

  1. Design, plan and upgrade entrepreneurship and enterprise development training materials including, but not limited to, Training curriculum, Training Manual, Pre-Posttest tools, and training handouts.
  2. Assist and mentor students in areas including development of business plans regarding tourism industry, problem solving, generation of workflow concepts, market planning and risk analysis.
  3. Deliver basic business entrepreneurship training by following the Training Schedule with quality standard.
  4. Conduct pre and post assessments and drawing its analysis
  5. Identify gaps and take lead in designing and delivery of business development services for entrepreneurs.
  6. Engage trainees actively in the training through multiple innovative training methodologies to maximize training outputs. 
  7. Identify tourism related business opportunities in target area and provide beneficiaries with guidance on the choice of start-up businesses.
  1. Develop and share detailed session plans
  2. Mentor students as they enter the field of entrepreneurship.
  3. Maintain and submit accurate and up-to-date management records of all students’ and program progress.
  4. Prepare and share the details of required training resource materials at least a week prior to the training
  5. Conduct sessions on ecotourism entrepreneurs
  6. Apply variety of training delivery techniques and strategies to train the trainees with respect to the required competencies.
  7. Develop training reports with support of Training Officer to cover each & every segment of trainings.
  8. Manage trainees’ performance evaluation (formative & summative) and submit reports both hard & soft copies within one week of evaluation.
  9. Demonstrate excellence in pedagogy, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  10. Update trainee’s data as per the requirements of MIS. 
  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification and experience                                     

  • Expertise in trainings of entrepreneurship including, but not limited to social entrepreneurship, sustainable entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial finance.
  • Minimum 14 years of formal education, graduation in economics and social sciences is preferred
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in delivering Trainings and developing training Materials
  • Familiarity with eco-tourism, adventure tour guides and camping village projects
  • in-depth knowledge and awareness regarding eco-tourism
  • Proven tracking record of delivering trainings particularly Enterprise Development Trainings
  • Experience of working with NGOs/Training Institutions and tourism industry
  • Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office) is mandatory
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills are must
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills are important, however, understanding about local dialects is also important
  • Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural & gender sensitivity are the core values
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and strategies.
  • Self-motivated and having good sense of humor to motivate adults for learning and grooming.
