A local NGO is looking for suitable staff for its indenting project “Strengthening Legislative Governance” to be executed in KP.

Overall Responsibilities of AO:

1. To assist the PM in designing, planning and implementing advocacy strategy and campaigns at provincial level. 
2. To create public awareness through effective liaison with print/electronic media at provincial level.
3. To organize regular press conferences, seminars and conferences for advocacy and dissemination of information,
4. To prepare articles, press releases, reports and information material for dissemination.
5. To respond to enquiries from media and provide required information objectively.
6. To assist in employer’s advocacy campaigns, including sloganeering and communication, printing and distribution of materials.
7. To liaise and engage in various national and provincial networks under advocacy strategy. 
8. To liaise with the CSOs, concerned government departments to obtain and share information.
9. To assist in developing advocacy materials for advocacy and civic education purposes 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1.      Pakistani national fluent in written and spoken English and Urdu. 

2.      Master’s Degree in Social Sciences.

3.      At least 3-4 years’ experience in research and advocacy with an NGO.

4.      Experience in designing advocacy campaigns at provincial level.

5.      Expert knowledge of Pakistani politics and election systems, at the national, provincial and local levels.

6.      Fluent in standard computer programs, including online applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and excellent typing skills in English. 

7.      Excellent communication skills and experience in writing press releases, articles and write ups for media.

8.      Demonstrated self-initiative, ability to identify and promote local and provincial level electoral reforms agenda.

9.       Ability to work to tight deadlines and under time pressure.
