Facilitating and linking PWDs with relevant departments for support

(CBDRM component of BDRP programme)

1.       Background

LPP is an expanding and vibrant Punjab based not for profit, non-governmental, non-political, non-religious development and humanitarian organization registered under the provisions of the Societies Registration 1860. LPP is amongst the leading NGOs in Punjab with diverse range of portfolio and partnerships in number of sectors. LPP envisions a society where local communities participate in the process of development and humanitarian assistance with a sense of complete ownership and all individuals involved in this process have equal opportunities to the sustainable development. Our mission is to eradicate extreme poverty by empowering communities through equal access to all resources including availability of clean drinking water and basic sanitation services, education, advocacy, social justice, gender equity and humanitarian assistance without discrimination of age, sex, colour, religion, language, creed & ethnicity. The foundation of LPP was laid to create a healthy, hygienic and human friendly environment in rural and semi-urban areas of the Southern Punjab. The first sanitation project was initiated in Lodhran back in 1999 following the footsteps of the great Akhtar Hameed Khan, the renowned social scientist, with the support of the local communities facilitating the Govt. of Punjab. LPP as the implementing partner of Concern World Wide is implementing Building Disaster Resilience in Pakistan program in District Jhang.

2.       Essential and Desirable Experience/Qualifications

LPP is seeking experienced consulting Firm/Individual Consultant with the following expertise:

      i.            Consulting firm/Individual Consultant with minimum graduation degree preferably with Gender/PWDs study.

     ii.            Minimum 3 years’ experience of PWDs/EVI mainstreaming experience with Govt. departments Have in-depth knowledge & issue of PWDs of Pakistan particularly with respect to district Jhang

    iii.           Well aware with the Punjab government registration process for persons with disabilities

    iv.           Timely available and can deliver assigned target of certification & registration of PWDs with relevant line departments with given short period.

     v.           Targeted oriented with Excellent facilitation, reporting and presentation skills.

    vi.           Strong interpersonal skills, flexible  and ability to effectively work in a multi-cultural environment
