Project Introduction:

The Asia Foundation together with partners intends to bid for a large USAID program to reduce the gender gap in economic and social opportunities between Pakistani men and women. This project will work primarily in the Newly Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (NMD/KP, the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to help women earn higher incomes, reduce inequality in economic and social participation, and reduce gender-based violence.

Salaries are negotiable in the light of experience, qualifications and salary history. The position will be based in Islamabad but will require travelling as necessary.

Chief of Party (COP):

The Chief of Party will be responsible for the overall management of the project. S/he

will supervise implementation and ensure the project meets its goals. S/he will also serve as the main representative of the project and the principal interlocutor with USAID/Pakistan and all activity counterparts for the purpose of this activity.

Qualifications:

 

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in a leadership position in designing and advancing projects on women’s economic and social empowerment is required, preferably in a developing country.

  • Strong leadership, administrative management, presentation, reporting, and communication (both oral and written) skills and the ability to implement and manage projects with diverse subject matter expertise is preferred.

  • Master’s Degree or higher in a field of social science, international development or equivalent, gender studies, or a related field is required.

  • Experience in managing complex development programs, financial management and negotiation skills that demonstrate ability to coordinate with different stakeholders in a complex and dynamic context.
