COUNTRY PROGRAM MISSION

The American Refugee Committee (ARC) is an entrepreneurial humanitarian organization that assists displaced people to move from vulnerability to resilience, from impoverishment to well-being, and from exclusion to inclusion. Since 2002 ARC has been providing humanitarian relief and development assistance in Pakistan through meaningful engagement with refugees and internally displaced people, innovative human-centered programs, and rigorous attention to outcomes. ARC provides multi-sectorial programs that include primary and reproductive health, health clinic management, education, GBV programming, water and sanitation, shelter, and emergency response. 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The main purpose of this position is to oversee and supervise the project activities in the province of Sindh. The position will also be responsible for reporting on the progress of project activities to the Deputy Cheif of Party (DCOP) 

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES

  1. Lead implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of EAC in relevant region.
  2. Provide support to DCOP for coordination and implementation of EAC activities in respective province.
  3. Support DCOP in program, financial, procurement planning and implementation
  4. Support DCOP in grant management in coordinated way with the help of support functions
  5. Coordinate and liaison with partner NGOs and/or CBOs, district administration, education departments at districts and provincial level, BISP, PDMA and other project stake holders to ensure quality implementation and output in relation to agreed project objectives.
  6. Collect and Analyze relevant project data.
  7. Provide facilitation in assessments, data collection, baselines, KAP surveys and evaluation etc.
  8. Conducting regular monitoring Field visits of ARC targeted Project areas.
  9. Provide orientations on project as per proposals to staff members internally and externally as and when needed.
  10. Ensure effectiveness of project activities on weekly/ monthly basis and submit weekly/ monthly, Quarterly and Annual Progress reports as per set indicators and targets of project to Programs Head in Islamabad.
  11. Collaborate with the Finance/Admin and Logistics to ensure that project supplies and resources are available in a timely manner to support project implementation.
  12. Support exchange visits to share information, identify best practices and challenges and enhance collaboration and networking among partners.
  13. Provide support and guidance to other ARC staff to assist in their capacity-building activities.
  14. Regularly report to the DCOP in all activities, weekly, bi-monthly & monthly with progress, achievements, bottlenecks to document challenges and lesson learned.
  15. Assist with any other duties as deemed necessary by the NPM

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences or in a relevant subject.
  • At least 05 years’ experience in implementation of protection and programs and conducting trainings.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication and report writing skills.
  • Experience of networking with Government Line departments/ district administration and donor liaison. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and working knowledge of SPSS/STATA
