The Livelihoods Assistant is responsible for conducting a range of livelihoods activities, including conducting livelihoods assessment and implementing livelihoods activities through daily field visits. The Livelihoods Assistant reports to the Livelihoods Officer. 

• Direct interfere with project beneficiaries including beneficiaries’ registration, follow up and monitoring.

• Conduct field visits to assess, implement and monitor all the livelihoods activities as much as possible an age, gender and diversity approach, in order to fully understand community needs and priorities. 

• Identify and assess the needs of various communities and suggest possible solutions in coordination with Project Officer. 

• Help in the identification of potential areas of work, needs and beneficiary’s selection.  

• Support, in coordination with Finance and Logistic, the implementation of the business grants project and ensure PRCS/IRC SOPs are followed. 

• Develop monthly visit plans on assessing and following up businesses development in coordination with Project Officer. 

• Ensure dissemination of clear and reliable information on livelihoods service provision and other pre-selected key topics. 

• Conduct monitoring of activities, record feedback (comments, suggestions) and report results back to Livelihood Officer/Project Officer. 

• Contribute to capacity building of local organizations, community groups, and stakeholders upon Project officer’s directives.  

• Identify vulnerable beneficiaries during the field work who might need protection assistance and refer them according to the referrals procedures to the protection team. 

• Ensure Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) approach to livelihoods is consistently applied through community and rights based participatory methods. 

• Ensure the respect of PRCS/IRC Code of Conduct, the confidentiality and humanitarian principles and contribute to the integration of protection and AGD mainstreaming into PRCS/IRC livelihoods programming. 

• Ensure transparency and PRCS/IRC’s positive regard and reputation within communities. 

• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager
