MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Quality assurance of projects through monitoring and follow-up on project implementation plans including media monitoring and coordination of advocacy initiatives
  • Support capacity building initiatives for PCWR-FF network members, community on project management and peace building
  • Assist Project Manager in strategic advice on project implementation to further enhance profile of organization’s
  • Provide technical advice to Project Manager in project planning, implementation, quality assurance, budget management, monitoring, reporting etc.
  • Assist in developing new project concepts in coordination with Project Manager to secure cooperation and support from various funding partners.
  • Strengthen coordination among partners and bridge communication gap between partners and organizational management

 


 

MAIN TASKS:

 

  • Assist in development and implementation of peace building project
  • Strengthen networking and coordination with relevant local structures (e.g. CSOs, I/NGOs and Government Departments, Media, Faith leaders, local faith communities etc.)
  • Contribute in fundraising through preparation of quality applications/proposals, reports for submission to international funding partners and head office.
  • Contribute in identification of areas and strategies for needed modifications in existing project plans to improve partners’ performance.
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation in peace building project interventions and capacity building trainings for partners’ staff in peace building and conflict sensitivity
  • Contribute in documenting best practices, results and lessons learnt from the project interventions
  • Conduct project monitoring visit of the ongoing peace building project(s) and provide needed technical support and advice for improvement

 

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

(Project-, team-, workgroup-leadership/coordination, facilitation, monitoring, relation building etc)

  • Masters’ degree preferably in relevant subject/studies or social sciences
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience of (preferably in peace building, human rights or other related fields)
  • Good understanding of local conflict context, culture, vulnerable groups, and underlying socio-politico-economic situation
  • Relevant experience of assisting program strategy, project proposal, budget and reports
  • Good knowledge of different religions and local faith communities
  • Preferable understanding of media and strong linkages with media houses
  • Preferable knowledge/understanding in documentation of statistics print electronic and social media
  • Preferable knowledge/understanding and experience of advocacy campaign on social issues 

 

FIELD TRAVEL:

  • Pesahwar based job with travel to the field areas (Chitral & Islamabad)
