Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Deputy Country Director M&E & HRCD in design and implementation ofcustomized supply chain courses to be introduced in various public and private universities across Pakistan;
  • Explore avenues that can be undertaken to produce a cadre of supply chain professionals within Pakistan, and to increase the percentage of employed women at leadership positions in Supply Chain Management;
  • Perform a collaborative assessment of SC workforce at district level and develop an SC workforce development model for adoption by government. Develop system strengthening measures for professionalization of supply chain cadre
  • Advocate, with involved stakeholders, to offer scholarships to students and in-service staff who are interested in the Supply Chain Management course;
  • Support in creating linkages between universities and relevant government counterparts, to increase awareness of supply chain capacity amongst in-service and pre-service supply chain professionals;
  • Support the DCD M&E & HRCD to provide Technical Assistance (TA) to provincial governments for the translation of professionalization plans into a HRCD strategy into Financing documents for the development of human resources; and
  • Assist the M&E team in human resource capacity development initiatives across Pakistan.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource development, industrial psychology, business administration, or related field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in progressive Workforce Development roles; USAID experience preferred..
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, diplomacy, and communications skills.
  • Fluency in English required.

 Location of Assignment: The employee will be based in Islamabad, Pakistan with intermittent travel throughout the country.
