Position Objective

Supporting project developing communication material including designing and narration of content specific to health systems strengthening and supply chain management.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist in development of internal and external materials, including PowerPoint presentations, brochures, reports, fact sheets, etc.
  2. Work with the technical teams to develop content relevant to project interventions for wider dissemination including annual, quarterly reports, success stories, infographics, posters, standees etc.
  3. Liaison with home office on knowledge management and communication related guidelines and matters
  4. Provide support to the team in developing and executing communications strategies linked to project goals and accomplishments in support of the GHSC-PSM program objectives, by coordinating with all technical heads and the HO team
  5. Play an active part in all aspects of communications and USAID branding of the Project, including core communications areas, such as publications and products, press releases, newsletters, media relations, editorial services, creative services etc. targeting relevant audiences including major players in GoP, industry professionals, donors, entrepreneurs, women and youth
  6. Research ideas for and contribute in organizing company events including national and international conferences, industry and government engagement events/ meetings
  7. After approval from the HO and the Country Director, share knowledge products and project success stories internally and externally with all major stakeholders
  8. Remain abreast with the project activities and accomplishments by keeping a close liaison with all technical heads and producing relevant communication material for the Project
  9. Coordinate with departments internally for commissioning work with vendors related to Communications in any project event/ conference
  10. Ensure that the scheduling, budgeting, technical, and documentary attributes of communications are fully up to date in the Project work plan
  11. Ensure that all scopes of work and other project documentation, and/or deliverable/s produced by consultants are compliant with the communications strategy and follow the branding policy of the Project and support the overall component goals and objectives
  12. Create and maintain accurate records for all communications material including but not limited to:
  13. Scanning and filing of electronic and paper copies of communications materials (publications, press releases, photographs, and other documents);
  14. Pre-event and post-event updats of the GHSC-PSM Program electronic work plan with the timing, budgets, and documentation of all communications actions;
  15. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Job Specifications

Education: Master’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field required.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field.  Experience in healthcare communications will be preferred
