Qualifications
Qualified professional with experience in coordinating and supervising fieldwork including mobilization, mapping, data collection, and planning and management.
The applicant must demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
• A Master Degree in social sciences or management
• A minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in the non-profit sector or other related sector with demonstrated engagement with beneficiary communities.
• Experience in handicraft product management and development will be preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee and review all aspects of fieldwork on a daily basis
- Assist in hiring field staff
- Supervise workshop facilitators and Social Organizers on a daily basis
- Ensure equipment is working properly
- Establish timeframe for field work
- Coordinate field work with local representatives/community members
- Secure permission from local community leaders for workshop in selected communities with help from Collaborating partners
- Prepare all materials in advance to be used in fieldwork, which includes developing and ensure workshop material and field logistic for staff
- Obtaining approval from local government to proceed activities and field mission
- Plan and implement the training of the field teams
- Plan the logistics of field work collection
- Managing budget and expenses
- Resolve administrative issues relating to travel, accommodation, behaviors of field teams, security issues etc. through appropriate channels
- Resolve questions from participants
- Oversee the shipment of samples
- Review all data collection forms for consistency and completeness
- Supervise data entry
- Troubleshoot any problems with fieldwork
- Directly coordinate with HO and update daily, weekly, monthly basis reports.
