JOB PURPOSE:  Project Officer (PO) Position is the lead role in implementation of the project. The PO will manage day to day activities of the project and will lead the project team. The PO will be responsible for managing project activities, project budget and also coordinate with external stakeholders for smooth implementation of the project. Project Officer will represent Hashoo Foundation in meetings with the donor, government officials, and other line agencies.

 

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

 

Project Management:

  • Project Officer (PO) is responsible to implement the project activities in close coordination with project participant
  • Prepare monthly and weekly work plan.
  • Manage project budget and inform Program Manager of any under or over spending of budget.
  • Manage and supervise project activities through project life cycle
  • Interact with project funding entities/ donors to develop an understanding of key deliverables of projects
  • Represent Hashoo Foundation in monthly progress review meetings in different forums
  • Provide phasing and scheduling of project
  • Participate in the development of project regarding program activities
  • Participate in the development and issuance of project procedures.
  • To coordinate and ensure timely completion of reports.
  • To provide input to management regarding project performance and status.
  • To help facilitate project-related meetings, including devising of agendas.
  • To actively manage project reports to ensure reports are delivered within time.
  • To document activities and report to communicate project findings and activities
  • Ensure to implement child safeguarding/protection policy and Code of Conduct of Hashoo Foundation.
  • To operate within organizational policies and practices.
  • To provide technical and management support to project team
  • Develop monthly expense forecast and submit to Finance department for smooth implementation.
  • Responsible for maintaining crucial project documents which track project progress. They file all project documents in an appropriate and ensure that all documents are accurate and have been accepted by the Program Manager
  • Any other task assigned by the management

 

Professional Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in social sciences or any relevant field
  • Working knowledge of computers and software’s (MS Word, MS Excel) is a must
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu knowledge of Pashto is an asset.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in the similar position in national or International Organizations.
  • Should know all the basics of community mobilization
  • Knowledge of and working with children/persons will disabilities will be an added advantage.
