IT/Administration Associate – Sustainable Energy Project

Tetra Tech ES, Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech dedicated to international development, is recruiting for a IT/Administration Associate for a USAID-funded project in Islamabad, Pakistan.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The IT/Administration Associate will report to the Finance & Operations Director and will provide logistical support to the SEP team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Information Technology:

  • Installs and configures Official computer systems.
  • Troubleshoots and fixes hardware/software issues of computer and other network devices.
  • Troubleshoots LAN / WAN and network to ensure complete functionality.
  • Monitors and maintains computer systems and networks.
  • Provides IT support to all staff.
  • Provides support to users regarding MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook etc).
  • Prepares and maintains an effective backup plan of critical data on the servers and ensures that routine backups are completed successfully.
  • Secures computer systems from virus and hackers attacks.
  • Complies with Tetra Tech Es, Inc. IT policies in coordination with the IT department in Arlington.
  • Coordinates with IT Team in US for SharePoint access, email generation, and deletion for team members.
  • Works closely with Web Master and IT team in US Office to email configurations.
  • Resolves photocopying, multimedia projectors and photocopying issues.
  • Issues and maintains record for mobiles phones to team members and process their bills for payments.
  • Assists the SEP team in procurement of IT Supplies.

Administration:

  • Maintains and updates stock register for all IT equipment on program in all SEP offices and facilities
  • Assists in formatting and generating different documents for Components on ad hoc basis
  • Maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machine, multimedia etc.
  • Perform any other tasks as required by line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Business Administration or related field with a minimum of 4 years of INGO experience. Preference should be given to candidates with certification i.e. MCITP, MCSE,CCNA/CCNP

WORK EXPERIENCE:

A minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Technical Support, Network Administration and Applications Development.

LANGUAGES

Excellent Language proficiency in spoken and written Urdu, English.
