Project Description:

Deloitte Yousuf Adil, Chartered Accountants (Deloitte Pakistan) is contractor for USAID on Sindh Capacity Development Project (SCDP), a USAID three-year project that will support the sustainability of the Sindh Basic Education Program (SBEP). This will be done by ensuring stronger governance and improved public accountability in the education sector through systems building and institutional strengthening of Program Management and Implementation Unit (PMIU) and the School Education Department (SED) of the Government of Sindh.

Position Description and Role:

The PHP Developer will be engaged in the following activities:

• Participate in the design and development of Detailed Version of M&E Application
• Assessment and analysis of PHP web application requirements
• Participate in the finalization of various Reporting Requirements
• Participate in the development of required business application
• Conduct the Testing of the developed application
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing of the developed application with the Business Users
• Fix the reported issues in the application
• Proficient in front-end web development basics including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.
• Proficient in front-end/back-end frameworks/libraries such as Ajax, jQuery, AngularJS, PHP, Laravel, Symfony, Codeingniter etc.
• Expert in MySQL / SQL experience.

Qualifications:

We are currently seeking a PHP Developer who supports our Force For Good mission and demonstrates positive leadership. This position requires 4+ years’ experience building responsive websites and web apps using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, Code Igniter, and Yii. Our in-house development team specializes in Laravel, WordPress, Magento, Craft, and Shopify, and stays on the cutting edge of digital applications

• 4+ years industry experience using PHP frameworks.
• Understanding of the SOLID programming principles.
• Expertise working with packages and other developers’ codebases.
• Dedication to TDD.
• Extensive experience writing API integrations.
• Expert in  MySQL / SQL experience.
• Expertise working with relational databases.
• Proficiency in front-end web development basics including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.
• Proficiency with front-end frameworks/libraries such as Ajax, jQuery, AngularJS, etc.
• Experience with modern-day development tools including version control, preprocessors, task runners, etc.
• Experience with cloud computing architectures.
• Desire to work with project managers, designers and other developers.
• Excellent verbal and time management skills.
• Prior experience is a plus.
